W.O.W Attitude In Writing Made Me A Better Writer
A good writer takes writing as a passion, unlike a money-making machine.
When Michael Faraday first studied electromagnetism, it was pretty new to the world. But it doesn’t mean that phenomenon never existed.
Magnetic field (invisible force) around the magnet and electrical wires always existed, but it was quite new to the world in a new way.
What we learn, experience and explore, we talk about that only but there is always something beyond that is yet not discovered or not quite popular.
W.O.W. attitude is quite new to me.
Being a spiritual person, I learned a Scripture “Bhagavad Gita” where I found this really magical thing.
No, I’m not promoting it or asking you to read, follow or share i.e. Bhagavad Gita.
Matter of fact, I just want to share that is beyond that spirituality and that really helped me to be a better writer beyond money, name, fame or followers.
What is W.O.W?
It simply means with and without attitude. What I really mean. Take decisions and keep doing good work with and without thinking about the outcome.
Being a writer we make too many expectations:
- We need followers
- More money
- Name and brand deals
Don’t you think that is unfair to some who have never enjoyed your content?
Readers should have the freedom to read what interests them and follow whom they really admire.
That’s the reason I’m changed:
I have been writing for blogs, and agencies for nearly 5 years, even I have my own blog but when I started writing at Medium it changed.
I realized, a WOW attitude is something that I really need.
That’s why even if I’m not making any money from Medium Partners Program, I write something that really provides value to my readers.
Money is now a second important thing as a writer.
I naturally, ask for people to take any services or try recommended products in my article but firstly provide them real epic knowledge or value in many ways.
It’s just a perspective.
